Temari course

This technique of creating colored spheres originated in China, before being imported into Japan.

It is a fascinating form of folk art in which there is a component linked to recycling. In the past, the spheres were made by parents and grandparents, as a gift for children and grandchildren, starting from the yarn made from the old kimonos.

The spheres were a good omen gift on the occasion of the New Year. Inside the spheres were placed some cards with good wishes dedicated to those who received them, or small objects capable of producing pleasant sounds, such as little bells. Cost: € 30.00 - the fee includes admission, materials, use of equipment and a guided tour of the "Giuseppe e Fidalma Lisio" exhibition. The course is aimed at adults.
