GABRIELLA BOTTARU E LUIGI GOLIN

 

Textile exhibition of Gabriella Bottaru and Luigi Golin, weavers of Galliera Veneta (Pd), whose works, sought after and very original, have been protagonists of numerous productions in Italy and in Germany.

Gabriella Bottaru has dedicated herself to weaving since 1987, she creates fabrics for clothing, furniture and furnishing accessories, tapestries and Artist Books, combining various materials, experimenting with the use of copper, brass, silver and cork combined with natural yarns and using different weaving techniques.

Luigi Golin is a xylograph who approached weaving by chance. The horizontal frame allows him to give new life to the many woodcuts and proofs that, cut into thin strips, become weave and in the fabric they recompose the starting image or more often they create some others accompanied by hints of writing, thus producing possible illustrated stories.

The exhibition is organized in collaboration with the Tramandiamo Laboratory and is part of the cycle of events Yesterday and today characters in weaving
